No weight report

posted in FatBlogging, General, Walking Off The Weight |

Don’t worry; I haven’t given up on exercise.  I didn’t go to the gym for the past few days, so I didn’t post a weight.  But it wasn’t that hot yesterday, so I walked an hour or so last night on a dog-free stretch of my back roads.  The day before, I didn’t walk, but I spent an hour and a half using a push mower, so that was my workout that day.  It’s only 65 degrees right now (I almost felt like I needed a jacket when I walked outside this morning), so I think I’ll skip the gym again today, and head out on the back roads.

I hope you have a nice walk. When I lived in the country (I’m smack dab in the middle the city now) I use to love to go out and walk either a back road or through the woods (I grew up on a 200+ arce farm area). I miss those times.

Just a note to let you know I enjoy your writings. FYI there is a television program called Big Medicine I tried to watch but found it terribly depressing.
Program deals with the morbidly obese (which is very close to home) and the trials and tribulations of these 400+ weight individuals. They claim to be addicted to food and cannot exercise due to the mass of their body size. There are several hospitals that deal with these people and put them on strict diets preparing them for possible bariatric surgery. They also cover problems experienced by the patients such as lymphedema, cellulitis and infections occuring following leakage of fluid in the legs. I would appreciate it if you would mention these conditions in your blog to see if anyone would be interested in chatting about it. I have been diagnosed with lymphedema in both legs and have had three rounds of treatments at St. Thomas and Baptist Hospitals in Nashville. Its a very depressing condition because there is not a lot you can do for it except compression wraps, compression hosiery(hard to get a good fit even with custom measurement) and massage therapy. Thank you for your help.
